6 Iranian films to land in Kazan film fest

Six Iranian films have qualified for the 2017 edition of Russia’s Kazan International Festival of Muslim Cinema.

Six Iranian films have been shortlisted for the 2017 edition of Kazan International Festival of Muslim Cinema in Russia's Republic of Tatarstan.

The qualifying films include tiles such as ‘Off-Key’ by Amir Pourkian, ‘Voice’ by Darioush Najafi Gol, ‘Overruled’ by Farnaz Jurabchian and Mohammadreza Jurabchian as well as ‘Butterfly’ by Mahdi Zamanpour Kiasari.

The Iranian films shortlisted at the festival’s 13th edition are among a list of 60 films from 27 countries vying in six different nominations.

Kazan International Festival of Muslim Cinema has been held every year since 2005 in the capital city of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The aim of the festival is the experience exchange in the sphere of culture and arts of Russia as well as Muslim countries.

The 13th edition of Kazan International Festival of Muslim Cinema will be held September 5-11, 2017.
